Story: . He is ready to face them. He even thinks that he killed them. Sameera( Kriti) is a news reporter in ‘i News’ channel and finds the story of Gowtham very interesting and follows him. What happens after that? What’s real? What is actually happening? Forms the plot.
Performances: Mahesh Babu has given his best; he toned his body and looked very stylish. His performance in some scenes is fantastic. Kriti is okay, she looked glamorous. Nassar, Killi Dorje, Pradeep Rawat are okay. Gowtham ( Son of Mahesh Babu) is good as child actor. Cinematography is of top notch. All the frames are colorful and make you glue to screen. Art work is good. Editing is okay; but still a 15-20 minute trimming could have helped. Stunts by Peter Hein are Good. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is not up to the mark. Only a couple of songs looked good on the screen. Background score is Average. The story line is wafer-thin, Sukumar tried to weave with complex screenplay and characterizations. The Direction is good in few scenes.
Analysis: Mahesh Babu has really worked hard to look different and offer something new to the Audience. He toned his body well to look stylish. He aptly suited for the role of Rockstar. Kriti Sanon is okay; she performed well and spilled some glamour with her good looking long legs. Nassar is okay. Killi Dorje and Pradeep Rawat have very small roles. Posani was not used properly. The remaining cast is okay. The Technical Departments have done fine job. Cinematography is fantastic. The opening shot in the forest (chasing of Gowtham) is very good. All the frames in foreign locales are sweet and picturesque. Art work is fine. Editing was sharp but should have taken care of the length. Music by Devisri Prasad is Pretty Average. The background score was not so appealing, except few scenes. Action scenes are well choreographed by peter Hein.
Some Dialogues are really good Like “Stars AC lekunda bathaka galaru kani fan lekunda Bathaleru”, “Prema Kanna Bhayam Goppadi”. The Pre-interval fight and the interval episode were superb, Mahesh has done fabulous job. Mahesh showed matured performance in the climax scene (after he hugs the ALBUM). Mahesh Babu satisfies his fans with good moves in “You Are My Love” Song. As Said by Sukumar this type of psychological thriller is first of its kind with a Star hero, but Sukumar could have tried to insert entertainment and other commercial angles. He could have narrated a couple of more threads additionally to thrill the Audience rather than going with single thread orientation.
Sukumar’s brilliance is limited only to a very few (The way he narrated the past of Mahesh’s parents without showing their faces) scenes. The rest of the scenes he tried to play over smart and fool the Audience. Due to repetitive doings it back fired and the audience failed to connect to the main emotional thread. It’s really a difficult task to make a Psychological thriller type of movie appeal to all sections (commercializing it) of Audiences. Sukumar has experimented it by increasing the budget (going to foreign locations) and by casting a Star Hero and the result is????????. The Story and screenplay department tried hard to make the script complex and even though all the questions were answered towards the end of the film. The Audience loses patience by that time. The movie is horribly lengthy, it’s 169 minutes. Thrillers need to be crispy and swift. The production Values are grand and are on par with Bollywood and Hollywood Flicks.
The Movie will not appeal to masses; we have to wait for the response of ‘A’ centers, as how they react to this stylish psychological Thriller.

Plus: Mahesh Babu, Cinematography, Action Sequences
Minus: Entertainment, Weak Story
Verdict: Disappointing Flick, Style Dominated the Substance.
